History of AMBE GROUP of educational institutions

 

The seed of Ambe Group of Schools was planted in the year 1991 under the able leadership of Shri Suryakant Shah and Smt. Bharati Shah.. Ambe Vidyalaya was launched in two residential houses, one at Padmavati Nagar  and the other Ashish Park Society in Karelibaug, with a strength of 673 students and 13 classes from K. G. to Class IV only of Gujarati medium. The Principals were Mrs. Geeta Thakkar and Mr. Mahendra Vyas.

 

In 1992 there was an addition of 7 more classes English medium was introduced. The strength of the students was raised to One Thousand Eighty Seven from Six Hundred Seventy Three.

 

In the year 1993 sensing the increase in the number of both working parents. The management came up with innovative idea of Day School exclusively keep in mind the children of working parents and hostelites. The objective was to provide good hygienic food, extra-curricular activities and even get the home work completed in school. There was an addition of five more classes.

 

In 1995 Secondary Section was introduced.

 

In 1996 – Jai Ambe Vidyalaya and V.S. Hostel at Balaji Nagar, VIP Road, Karelibaug was added to the group. Now the strength of students was one thousand nine hundred sixty students.

 

In 1999 the strength of students had increased and this forced the management to build a proper school building, covering an area of 20,000 sq. ft. and a built up area of 32,000 sq. ft.  This building is at present the head office of the Ambe Group of Schools, known as “Ambe Vidyalaya – Karelibaug”.

 

It was time for an expansion now and B. S. Hostel was started in Aditya Complex, on VIP Road, Karelibaug, which is at present adjacent to Ambe Vidyalaya – Karelibaug and houses the K.G. Section.

 

In the year 2000 Higher Secondary Section with Commerce Stream soon followed by the Science Stream in 2002 in both the mediums.

 

The number of students had grown to four thousand one hundred thirty four now.

 

This approach made Ambe Group of Schools a reputed educational institute in Vadodara – famous as a city. Shree Ambe Vidyalaya at Waghodia Road was established in the year 2003.

 

In these past years Ambe Group had earned a goodwill and acquired a place in the field of education for itself, this goodwill reflected in the mobs of thousands of people which rushed for admission. at Shree Ambe Vidyalaya. It made a new record of 3500 new admissions within a month. This school too has all the latest educational amenities housed on a area of 45,000 sq. ft. having built up area 75,000 sq. ft.

 

The strength of the students of Ambe Group of Schools had then reached to a number of Eight Thousand Four Hundred Fourteen. The three schools were performing excellently.

 

In the year 2005 Ambe School near Darbar Chowkdi Road – Manjalpur was established. The strength of students raised to Twelve Thousand Three Hundred  Thirty Nine. This school was built with a modern elevation. This campus has a huge air conditioned, fully equipped auditorium with push back chairs having the capacity of 600 audience.

 

In the year 2007 – 2008 the number of students increased to fifteen thousand two hundred.

 

This very year the management decided to open a proper CBSE recognized unit at Manjalpur adjacent to the Ambe School campus from the academic year 2008-09.

 

In the year 2009-2010 the strength of students became 17,990 supported by 793 teaching and ancillary staff members.
