The basic method of teaching is the playway method. The formal teaching becomes very monotonous and makes the students repel from the school. Concepts of environmental studies, community helpers, flowers, fruits, vegetables, animals, seasons, a birthday party etc. are taught through experiential teaching.
Here classes are child oriented with emphasis on environment and social awareness. The basic skills in Reading, Writing and Arithmetic (3 R’s) are developed. Projects and experience oriented learning is given thrust and pupils learn at their own pace.
Formalization of concepts is undertaken with greater emphasis on oral, written and computing skills along with introduction to process skills. Awareness of the environment, role of pupils therein, are emphasized.
Teaching is undertaken through various projects, workshops, etc. and the students are trained to integrate knowledge in the classroom with its applications in their own lives and the society at large. Tests and examinations are held intermittently to help them excel on Board standards.
This section comprises of about 4,866 children in 115 classes with 150 well trained & qualified teachers. Specially for the tiny-tots there is a beautifully designed doll house, a ball-pit, a splash pool and an activity room. The Juniors' Recreation Park has equipments like swings, jumble gyms, seesaws, slides, rockers and sandpit. The spacious class rooms are furnished with colorful tables and chairs.

During these early years of development, we have planned our curriculum so as to create learners out of young children by preparing effective instructional materials, providing equipments that help to develop their motor and mental skills and using the surrounding within and outside classrooms to make their lessons interesting, meaningful, enjoyable and finally help in developing a love for learning in the child.

Here we have various subject rooms & corners to teach the three basic concepts i.e. Language, Number work and Environment studies. The Puppet Room, Reading Corner, Number Room, General Knowledge Room, Audio Visual Room and Activity Room are well furnished according to the requirement of each subject. Story Telling, Conversation, Projects, Rhymes are regular & interesting features of this section.
